Kimili Flash Embed - Version 1.4
KFE 1.4 addresses two long outstanding issues that are present in version 1.3.x. If you’ve run into either of them, you’ll know what I’m talking about, and you’ll want to grab this update.

Just one day after the release of Kimili Flash Embed 1.3, there were a few minor bugs that surfaced. I have duly quashed them and tidyed up a bit more, the result of which is KFE 1.3.1.

One of the most common questions I get about using Kimili Flash Embed is how to go about posting YouTube videos on a site with it. As you’ll see, it turns out to be a relatively simple and painless process.

Kimili Flash Embed 1.0 Released!
After much time and much input from all of you, I’ve finally put together Kimili Flash Embed version 1.0 for both Wordpress and Textpattern. As part of the coordinated platform release, Kimili Flash Embed takes advantage of the latest Flash Object code. There is greatly expanded functionality, improved compatibility, and easier usage.

The Kimili Flash Embed for Textpattern has been updated, this time expanding the functionality to give you access to all sorts of Textpattern variables so you can pass them into your movie. Does your flash movie need to know the current section? No problem. How about the ID of the current article? Or the site name, slogan or language? Not a problem either. These variables and many more are all easily accessible with this new version of the plug in, so have at it.
Molding Textpattern XML Feeds
As I was building this site and turned my attention to the RSS and Atom feeds that Textpattern generates, I found out that you have the option to display either full articles or excerpts. I thought it would be good to offer feeds for both the excerpts and the full articles. Twenty minutes and a small bit of hackery later, I had it down. Here’s how I did it.
